TransTraks is a division of Perseus Associates, LLC. We are a firm specializing in finding creative and innovative management solutions for the public sector. We also offer consulting services to our clients, helping them with their efforts to create more efficient and effective organizations. Our senior staff members have decades of combined years of management and executive level experience in the public sector. Our TransTraks Division specializes in creative software solutions for pupil transportation operations and also provides consulting services on transportation issues for both public and private clients.

Greg Marvel, President/CEO

Founder and President of Perseus Associates and a co-creator of TransTraks, Greg Marvel has over 25 years experience as an executive and Assistant CEO in the public sector, from transit and public utility districts to school districts and colleges. His specialty has been the implementation and integration of effective technology solutions in organizational change efforts. Mr. Marvel has served at the national level on a number of industry-wide committees and has been a leader in public education professional organizations. Recently retired as a Vice Chancellor for a large college system, Mr. Marvel remains active in public education, currently serving as as a member of the Board of Education for the San Ramon Valley Unified School District, a 25,000 student district in the San Francisco Bay Area. He holds under-graduate and graduate degrees from the University of San Francisco.

Donna Marvel, Vice President/Principal Consultant

Serving as a Vice President and Principal Consultant, Donna Marvel has over 30 years of experience in the School Pupil Transportation Industry. She has been at the management level, heading up a large public school district’s transportation department, including vehicle maintenance. Ms. Marvel has also been a state certified driver instructor for over 25 years. She has served at the local and state level in pupil transportation professional organizations and is a frequent guest speaker and presenter at conferences, workshops and seminars. Ms. Marvel consults with numerous school districts on technology implementation, best practices and organizational effectiveness.

Rick Lewis, Sales/Technical Support Manager

Serving as the head of our Sales and Technical Support group. Rick Lewis has over 36 years of experience in the School Pupil Transportation Industry. He has served multiple times as President of the Orange County Chapter of the California Association of School Transportation Officials (CASTO). Mr. Lewis has also been active in the California Association of School Business Officials (CASBO), serving on various committees. He has served as a Director of Transportation for a variety of mid to large school districts in Southern California and started his career with one of California’s pioneering school bus contractors, Taylor Bus Service as a driver, trainer, dispatcher, and senior executive. Mr. Lewis has many years of experience implementing and using a variety of transportation software solutions in the school bus industry. He has a state-wide reputation for being an innovative and entrepreneurial transportation executive. Mr. Lewis holds a B.A. from California State University  -  Fullerton. He also holds a certification from the university in School Business.

Bill Martin, Senior Consultant

Bill Martin is a Senior Consultant with TransTraks, serving the training and technical support needs of our many clients. Mr. Martin comes to TransTraks with almost 37 years of experience in Transportation, and 25 years in supervision and management. Having worked both in school districts as a Transportation Director and with the California Department of Education as a Coordinator, Mr. Martin brings a wealth of expertise to every client’s questions and training needs. Mr. Martin is a member of both the National Association for Pupil Transportation (NAPT) and California Association of School Transportation Officials (CASTO), including service in various leadership roles in CASTO from chairing the annual state conference to editor of its state-wide newsletter. Mr. Martin holds a BA in Management from California’s Fresno Pacific University.
